Job summary

LaMotte Company in Chestertown, MD is seeking a Production Technician for the 3rd shift (Friday-Saturday, 11:00pm–7:15am), part-time. The role involves operating and maintaining manufacturing equipment, preparing reagents, and supporting lean initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; chemistry experience preferred.
• Good mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Good judgment, decision-making, and troubleshooting skills.
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team and overtime as needed.
• Excellent communication skills are a must.
• Able to wear chemical cartridge respirator or equivalent.
• Must be able to transport up to 40–50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains manufacturing equipment with proper training.
• Prepares reagents according to procedures and in order of priority.
• Maintains and records accurate performance data and samples.
• Assists in daily equipment setup for machines.
• Attends shift huddles and ensures production targets and quality standards.
• Transports product using pallet jacks and carts.
• Participates in lean activities and DMAICs to improve efficiency.
• Notifies supervisors of issues and contributes to solving them.
• Performs other duties as assigned and complies with company policies.
