Job summary

R+L Carriers in Lumberton, NC is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to perform day-to-day maintenance on our fleet, including preventive maintenance and repairs to Class 8 trucks, trailers, and possibly forklifts. This is a full-time, 3rd shift role from 12:00 am to 10:30 am.

You will work Monday through Friday, with earned PTO after 90 days and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with company matching, and access to our employee resorts.

Qualifications

• Experience in preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines.
• Must be able to handle major repairs.
• Experience with AC and Electrical systems.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Must have own tools.
• 2+ years of Diesel Mechanic experience preferred.
• Experience in maintenance of Cummins & Detroit engines.
• Experience using Cetaris for work orders.
• Experience in trailer PMs and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day maintenance on fleet equipment.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and minor to major repairs on Class 8 trucks, trailers, and forklifts.
• Maintain trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies; welding as needed.
• Use Cetaris for work orders.
