Job summary

R+L Carriers in Oxford, MA is seeking a Diesel Mechanic for the 3rd shift (1:00am–10:30am) on a full-time basis. You will perform day-to-day maintenance on our fleet, including preventative maintenance and repairs to Class 8 trucks, trailers, and related equipment.

The role requires hands-on experience with diesel engines, electrical systems, and be able to lift 50 lbs. Tools are required, and the position offers PTO after 90 days and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience in preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines.
• Ability to handle major repairs.
• Experience with AC and electrical systems.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Must have own tools.
• 2+ years of diesel mechanic experience preferred.
• Experience with Cummins and Detroit engines.
• Experience using Cetaris for work orders.
• Experience in trailer PMs and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day equipment maintenance on fleet trucks, trailers, and potentially forklifts.
• Complete preventive maintenance and minor to major repairs to Class 8 trucks and related equipment.
• Maintain trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, welding where location allows.
