Job summary

R+L Carriers in Grand Rapids, MI is hiring a Diesel Mechanic for our service center. You will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on a fleet of Class 8 trucks, trailers, and related equipment, with a night shift from 12am to 10:30am.

The role requires the ability to lift 50 lbs, own basic tools, and 2+ years of diesel mechanic experience. PTO accrues after 90 days, and a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines.
• Must be able to handle major repairs.
• Experience with AC and Electrical.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day maintenance on fleet equipment, including preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Repair Class 8 trucks, trailers, and potentially forklifts.
• Maintain trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, welding as location permits.
