Job summary

R+L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for a Diesel Mechanic at our Canton, MA Service Center. You will be responsible for day-to-day equipment maintenance on our fleet, performing preventative maintenance and major to minor repairs on Class 8 trucks, trailers, and possibly forklifts, with welding as needed.

This full-time role is on the 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 2:00pm–11:30pm) and offers PTO after 90 days plus a robust benefits package including Medical/Dental/Vision, a 401(k) with company

Qualifications

Experience in preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines
Must be able to handle major repairs
Experience with AC and Electrical
Have the ability to lift 50lbs
Must have own tools
Experience in preventive maintenance of Cummins & Detroit engines
Experience in Trailer PMs and repairs

Responsibilities

Day-to-day maintenance on fleet equipment including preventative maintenance and repairs on Class 8 trucks and trailers
Perform minor to major repairs and potentially welding depending on location
Maintain trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies and related equipment
