Job summary

R+L Carriers in Hagerstown, MD is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on Class 8 trucks, trailers, and related equipment. The role will require you to conduct day-to-day maintenance, diagnose issues, and complete repairs to ensure fleet readiness.

Qualified candidates will have 2+ years of diesel mechanic experience, own tools, and a Class A CDL. Familiarity with Cummins/Detroit engines and Cetaris is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines.
• Must be able to handle major repairs.
• Experience with AC and Electrical systems.
• Must have own tools.
• 2+ years of diesel mechanic experience preferred.
• Experience with Cummins & Detroit engines.
• Experience using Cetaris for work orders.
• Class A CDL holder.
• Experience driving Class 8 commercial trucks.
• Experience in trailer PMs and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day equipment maintenance on fleet assets, including preventive maintenance and repairs from minor to major.
• Maintain trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, and welding as required by location.
