R+L Carriers in South Windsor, CT is hiring a Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet, including Class 8 trucks and trailers. The role involves preventive maintenance, minor to major repairs, and location-based welding or related tasks.

The position is full-time with Monday–Friday shifts, requires experience with diesel engines, AC/electrical systems, and be able to lift 50lbs. Tools are required, and Class A CDL is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines.
• Must be able to handle major repairs.
• Experience with AC and Electrical.
• Have the ability to lift 50lbs.
• Must have own tools.
• 2+ Years of Diesel Mechanic experience preferred.
• Experience in preventive maintenance of Cummins & Detroit engines.
• Experience using Cetaris used for work orders.
• Class A CDL holder.
• Experience driving Class 8 commercial trucks.
• Experience in Trailer PMs and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day equipment maintenance on the fleet.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and repairs from minor to major on Class 8 trucks, trailers, and related equipment.
• Maintain trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, and perform welding as location allows.
