Job summary

Tillamook County Creamery Association is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the night shift at our Boardman, Oregon facility. You will troubleshoot and repair dairy plant equipment and support utilities, working with electrical controls and PLCs.

You’ll read drawings and manuals, perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, and coordinate with staff to keep production running smoothly. High attention to safety and quality is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 1 to 3 years related experience.
• Associate degree or trade school certification preferred.
• Five years of demonstrated ability to trouble shoot and repair packaging equipment and general manufacturing plant equipment is preferred.
• General plant mechanical maintenance required.
• Allen Bradley PLC programming, Allen Bradley Panel View, Devicenet, Controlnet, and strong electrical background.
• Dairy Plant Systems experience or refrigerant/Utilities experience considered a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment, adhering to safety regulations.
• Provide emergency or unscheduled repairs during production and perform scheduled maintenance.
• Prepare and set up machinery for scheduled production runs.
• Read drawings, equipment manuals and work orders to perform maintenance.
• Diagnose problems, replace parts, test, and adjust; use hand and power tools and meters.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with staff and communicate clearly.
• Work independently with minimal supervision and handle multiple projects.
