Job summary

Tillamook County Creamery Association is seeking a Maintenance Technician (NIGHTS) to troubleshoot and repair dairy processing plant equipment, packaging equipment, and supporting utility systems at our Boardman, Oregon facility.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with 1–3 years of related experience; an associate degree or trade school certification is preferred. Strong PLC and electrical skills are valued, with opportunities for advancement and a night-shift schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 1 to 3 years related experience.
• Associate degree or trade school certification preferred.
• Five years of demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair packaging equipment and general manufacturing plant equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Installs and maintains production machines and plant facility equipment, complying with safety regulations and keeping work areas clean.
• Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs during production and performs scheduled maintenance during machine service.
• Prepares and sets up machinery for scheduled production runs.
• Performs mechanic skills including Packaging Mechanical, Refrigeration, PLC/Process Controls, Dairy Systems, Electrical, Welding/Fabrication, and General Maintenance.
• Reads and interprets drawings, equipment manuals, and work orders to perform maintenance and service.
• Diagnoses problems, replaces or repairs parts, tests, and makes adjustments using hand and power tools, meters, and material handling equipment.
• Establishes and maintains effective relationships with employees, supervisors, and the public; communicates effectively; works as a team; handles pressure and multiple projects; manages time independently.
