Job summary

Dematic Corp. is seeking a Controls Engineer for its Technical Support group. The role focuses on diagnosing and isolating issues in material handling systems by working with schematics and PLC logic, while remotely supporting customers.

The candidate will participate in troubleshooting hardware and software integrations, travel 20–30% to customer sites, and contribute to productivity and cost-reduction initiatives to improve customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 2+ years in a related field providing customer service support.
• Experience with Allen Bradley Logix PLC controls platforms.
• Experience with controls hardware troubleshooting.
• Siemens and Modicon PLC experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supports semi-complex systems that integrate hardware and software.
• Assists in semi-complex material specifications and schematic troubleshooting.
• Provides follow-up and productivity improvement ideas for customer satisfaction.
• Offers troubleshooting expertise to Dematic's customers.
• Travel between 20-30% to different customer locations (weekends/overtime possible).
