Job summary

Pharmavite is seeking an Automation & Controls Engineer to maintain and improve automation for industrial manufacturing equipment at our Ohio facility. You will troubleshoot, optimize, and lead projects to enhance manufacturing performance, collaborating with maintenance and engineering teams.

The role emphasizes PLC/HMI development, electrical troubleshooting, and safety-focused improvements within a night-shift operation (6:00 PM–6:30 AM) on a 2-2-3 rotation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology.
• Minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance experience focused on control system development, installation, troubleshooting, and automation systems support.
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, and control systems in manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Automation & controls design, installation, programming, and troubleshooting: PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, and process control loops.
• Diagnose and resolve control system failures; implement permanent corrective actions and optimize alarm management.
• Provide manufacturing support as first-line technical support for automation-related issues and recommend improvements.
• Lead automation projects; coordinate with outside vendors and train maintenance personnel.
