Job summary

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division seeks a Coils Machine Operator Apprentice on 3rd shift in Waukesha, WI. The role involves winding coils, setting up winding machines, and meeting precise specifications with classroom and on-the-job training at WCTC.

A sign-on bonus is offered, along with health benefits and weekly pay. The candidate will read winding specs, load materials, adjust the machine, perform pack-out, and complete welding/brazing training as part of the apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months of experience OR education in manufacturing, military, or a related field.
• High school diploma or GED (General Education Degree) from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of one (1) year of manufacturing experience or military technical training.
• Minimum of six (6) months prior coil winding experience.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret winding specification documents.
• Locate coil number, quantity, and revision; record on coil and labor paperwork.
• Install and adjust devices on coil winding machine to meet window sizing specs.
• Load materials onto derooling mechanisms; measure and adjust for proper alignment.
• Assemble pack out per specification; insulate and tape-weld leads.
• Operate crimping tool for wire to static shielding.
• Complete welding/brazing training as required.
