Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Nurse Aide I in High Point, NC to support acute care through designated patient care tasks. The role includes 3 twelve-hour night shifts per week (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) and four weekend shifts in a six-week cycle, with a 36-hour work week.

You will assist with basic care, monitor patients, and collaborate with licensed nurses to ensure quality outcomes. Required are a high school diploma or GED, Nurse Aide I training/competency, Nurse Aide I Registry, and BLS

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Successful completion of Nurse Aide I approved training program/competency evaluation.
• Nurse Aide I Registration with Division of Facility Services Nurse Aide I Registry.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) provider certification.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients' condition and report changes to licensed nurse.
• Document vital signs, heights, weights, intake/output, and specimens.
• Assist with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Support nursing tasks including glucose monitoring and catheter care.
• Provide one-on-one observation and maintain patient safety.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and use of lifts.
• Prepare meals, monitor intake, ensure hydration.
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe environment and stock supplies.
• Respond to call lights and patient requests; participate in handoffs.
• Assist with pre/post-operative and other nursing care activities.
