Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Nurse Aide I for a full-time position in North Carolina. Shifts are 12 hours, 7:00am–7:30pm or 7:00pm–7:30am, with rotating weekends and holidays. The role supports patient care, daily living activities, vital signs, and basic clinical tasks.

36 hours per week, benefits eligible, with a pay range of $19.80–$29.70 per hour. Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, a current Nurse Aide I listing with the DFS Nurse Aide Registry, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required for new hires on or after 7/22/2018.
• Current listing with the DFS Nurse Aide Registry as a Nurse Aide I.
• BLS required per policy guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Supports patients/residents with activities of daily living.
• Takes vital signs and height and weight measurements.
• Feeds and ambulating patients/residents according to procedures.
• Maintains patient/resident rooms in a clean and orderly condition.
• Observes and reports changes in patient/resident conditions.
• Orients patients/families to unit and safety measures.
• Assists with clerical work such as answering phones, entering data and medical records.
• Maintains stock supply items in inventory management.
• Performs duties as outlined in the Nurse Aide I Tasks List.
• Performs 12-Lead ECG and routine venipuncture as trained.
