Job summary

Good Samaritan Society in Miller, SD is seeking a Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide resident-centered care during night shifts. The NA will assist with daily living activities, vital signs, and companionship under RN supervision.

The role requires CNA certification within four months, with opportunities for sign-on bonus eligibility and comprehensive benefits. Aged residents in long-term care will be the focus of this position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16; prior clinical or CNA experience preferred.
• CNA certification required within four months of date into the position.
• Annual 12 hours of continuing education are required.
• May be classified as Sanford Category II Driver per facility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Assist with transfers, repositioning, and walking using proper techniques.
• Record vital signs and report changes to the RN.
• Assist with meals, nutrition, hydration, and dining experiences.
• Support infection prevention policies and PPE usage; assist with recreational activities.
