Job summary

The Nursing Assistant (NA) at Good Samaritan Society provides resident-centered nursing care during 12 hour night shifts in a long-term care setting. You will help with daily living activities, vital signs, and support residents according to care plans under RN supervision.

Ideal candidates have CNA certification, are at least 16, and bring prior long-term care experience. Night differential and a $10,000 sign-on bonus are offered, with comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, not required.
• Minimum age 16 years.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• CNA certification with the State Board required or in process within four months.
• CNA training and certification provided by the facility.
• Annual competency testing and 12 hours of continuing education required.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Assist with transferring, repositioning, and walking using proper technique.
• Take and record vital signs and monitor resident condition.
• Assist with meals, hydration, and dining experiences.
• Document resident interactions and communicate changes to the charge nurse.
• Support wellness and recreational programs and maintain infection control practices.
