Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age 16.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• CNA certification with State Board of Nursing or in process within four months.
• CNA training and certification provided by the facility.
• Annual continuing education requirements of 12 hours minimum.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic health care and daily living assistance per care plan.
• Assist with transfers, positioning, and mobility using proper techniques.
• Help with meals, hydration, and maintaining a pleasant dining experience.
• Support nursing staff and document resident care and responses.
• Communicate changes in resident condition to the charge nurse.
• Assist with wellness and recreational activities and participate in programs.
