Job summary

Sanford Health in the United States is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) to provide resident-centered care in a long-term care setting during night shifts. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and support the care team under the supervision of an RN.

Ideal candidates have a CNA certification, be at least 16, and complete ongoing competency testing and continuing education. The role includes housekeeping, documentation, infection control, and participation in wellness

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; minimum age 16.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required or in progress within four months of date into the position.
• Satisfactory completion of yearly department competency testing and continuing education credits.
• When applicable, registered or certified with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry; driving may be required under Sanford policy.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities and basic health care needs.
• Assist residents with meals, hygiene, transfers and mobility.
• Record vital signs and document resident care and outcomes.
• Communicate changes to the charge nurse and participate in wellness activities.
• Provide housekeeping and laundry services as needed.
• Support infection prevention and PPE usage as part of routine care.
