Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking a Senior Nursing Assistant for long-term care in a night-shift role, focusing on resident-centered care under RN supervision. You will perform routine CNA duties, monitor vital signs, assist with activities of daily living, and uphold infection prevention policies.

Experience as a CNA with ongoing education credits is preferred. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and be medically fit for driving as required by the facility policy.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age 16.
• Two years' clinical or CNA experience in long-term care preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required by State Board of Nursing.
• Completes yearly competency testing and maintains continuing education credits.
• Minimum 12 hours of CE annually.
• May require Restorative Nursing training within 6 months.
• May be registered with UAP Registry where applicable.
• Driving eligibility per facility policy.

Responsibilities

• Leads in problem solving with high accountability.
• Assists with daily living activities (bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing).
• Transferring, repositioning, and walking with proper techniques; ROM and exercises.
• Assists with meals and dining; supports hydration.
• Documents resident interactions and reports changes to charge nurse.
