Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in assisted living preferred.
• Maintains yearly competency testing and continuing education credits (12 hours annually).
• If applicable, registered with UAP Registry where required by state.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, toileting, grooming, and eating.
• Record vital signs and document resident progress.
• Support transfers, mobility, and range of motion as delegated.
• Assist with meals, dining, and hydration.
• Support nursing staff and providers with procedures as needed.
• Document outcomes related to care, medications, and behavior.
• Communicate changes to charge nurse promptly.
• Provide infection prevention practices and PPE usage.
