Job summary

Good Samaritan Society in Omaha, NE is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) to provide resident-centered care under RN supervision.

You will assist with daily living activities, transfers, meals, vital signs, and documentation, emphasizing infection prevention and safety while delivering compassionate support to residents.

This full-time night-shift role offers 40 hours weekly, a $3,000 sign-on bonus, and a competitive benefits package including health, dental and vision insurance, and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Minimum age 16 to work with residents.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• CNA certification with State Board of Nursing; or in process of obtaining certification.
• Annual continuing education and department competency testing required.
• UAP Registry status where applicable and Sanford driving qualification if required.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Assist with transferring, repositioning, and mobility using proper techniques.
• Monitor and record vital signs, assist with meals, and support dining experiences.
• Document resident interactions and communicate changes to the charge nurse.
• Support wellness and recreational programs and assist with housekeeping as needed.
