Job summary

Good Samaritan Society in Olathe, KS is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) to support residents during night shifts in a long-term care setting. This part-time role provides essential daily living assistance and resident-centered nursing care under RN supervision.

The position requires a CNA certification with the State Board (or in process within four months), a minimum age of 16, and a commitment to infection prevention and quality care in a Christian not-for-profit environment.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age 16.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• CNA certification required or in process within four months of start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Assist with transferring, repositioning, and walking using proper techniques.
• Take and record vital signs, assistance with activities of daily living include bathing, grooming, dressing.
• Assist with meals and dining, and supervise nutrition and hydration.
• Document resident interactions and communicate changes to the charge nurse.
• Participate in infection prevention and control practices and keep environment clean.
