Job summary

Banner Gateway Medical Center in Gilbert, Arizona, is seeking a Certified Patient Care Assistant to join our Medical-Surgical Float team. This part-time night position provides nursing support across units, with two 12-hour shifts weekly (7:00 pm–7:30 am) and self-scheduling options.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current BLS certification required; CNA licensure in state of practice.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living and basic hygiene.
• Record vital signs, input/output, and other data per policy.
• Communicate patient status to licensed professionals for continuity of care.
• Support unit procedures, charting, and supplies management.
• Transport patients and assist with pre/post-operative movement when needed.
• Maintain patient records and ensure documentation is complete.
