Job summary

Banner Health in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant to join the Med/Surg Float-Hosp team. The role supports daily living activities, data collection, and patient care across multiple units.

You will work a day shift with opportunities for full-time or part-time status, providing essential care in a Magnet-acclaimed academic medical center. The ideal candidate holds CNA certification with BLS on file and brings strong communication and organizational skills for a fast-paced hospital

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Current CNA certification in state of practice required.
BLS certification required for new hires and transfers.

Responsibilities

Assist patients with activities of daily living and mobility.
Record vital signs, input/output, and other data; communicate with care team.
Report abnormalities and changes to licensed staff.
Perform procedures under supervision (EKGs, basic forms) and assist with unit duties.
Handle receptionist/clerical tasks to support department operations.
Maintain patient records and ensure chart forms are filed and accessible.
Assist with supplies, transport, and unit turnover as needed.
Provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.
