Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a Certified Patient Care Assistant to join the Med/Surg Float-Hosp at Banner University Medical Center in Phoenix. You will float across units including trauma, ICU, PCU, and M/S units, delivering essential nursing support in a Magnet-designated academic medical center.

The ideal candidate holds an active CNA license, has recent acute care experience, and thrives in a fast-paced environment with teamwork and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, CNA certification in practice state.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Active CNA license in state of practice for new hires.
• 1 year of medical clerical or hospital experience preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; able to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living to promote patient health.
• Collect data including vital signs and I/O; document in EMR.
• Report changes in patient condition to licensed staff.
• Assist with procedures and prepare supplies for care delivery.
• Perform clerical duties to support unit operations and communication.
• Maintain patient records, chart forms, and education materials.
• Monitor supplies and assist with transport and room turnover as needed.
• Provide care in a fast-paced environment with strong customer service.
• Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
