Job summary

Banner Health in Mesa, Arizona is seeking an Adult Acute Care Certified Patient Care Assistant to provide specialized care for adults with renal and diabetic needs. You will be part of a Level 1 trauma designated hospital team, delivering high-quality patient care.

This full-time night shift runs 6PM–6:30AM with weekend/holiday rotations and shift differentials. You will collect data, assist with daily living activities, and document care in the EMR system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current BLS certification; CNA in state of practice required for new hires.
• 1 year of medical clerical experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills; medical terminology and computer literacy required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and hygiene; support mobility and nutrition.
• Collect vital signs, input/output, and other data; transport specimens as needed.
• Report health status changes to licensed staff; communicate patient status to care team.
• Perform procedures and use equipment as delegated by licensed staff; assist with orders in EMR.
• Handle receptionist/clerical tasks to support unit efficiency; resolve routine issues.
