Job summary

Sanford Health and Good Samaritan Grand Island Village are seeking a Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide resident-centered care in a long-term care setting. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and support the nursing team under RN supervision, ensuring infection control and patient safety.

Shift Details: 5:45pm – 6:15am, every other weekend with rotating holidays. Compensation: $18.00–$25.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required or in process within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic health care needs including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, and providing psychosocial support and other personal care to assigned resident.
• Assists residents with transfers, repositioning, and walking using correct transfer techniques and equipment; provides range of motion and passive exercises.
• Completes tasks related to food preparation and dining; assists residents with meals and hydration; documents interactions and notifies charge nurse of changes.
