Job summary

Sanford Health in Minnesota is hiring a full-time Nursing Assistant (CNA) for our long-term care facility. The role provides resident-centered care during the evening shift, with a 2:15pm–10:45pm schedule and every other weekend and holiday.

You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and support the nursing staff under an RN’s supervision. Requires CNA certification and a high school diploma or GED, with ongoing training and compliance.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16.
• Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement.

Responsibilities

• The Nursing Assistant (NA) serves as caregiver to the resident during the scheduled work period in long term care.
• Provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned resident under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
• Completes tasks related to food preparation and dining, while creating a positive dining experience for the resident.
• Assists residents with meals and snacks, provides water and supplements as appropriate.
• Documents resident interactions as needed and the outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary.
• Communicates resident’s changing condition and care related concerns/responses to the charge nurse.
