Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Nursing Aide at Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital. You will assist the RN with daily patient care, including bathing, feeding, and mobility, while accurately documenting vitals and patient data in the EMR.

The role requires BLS certification within 45 days and state-registered Nurse Aide status. The position involves 12-hour night shifts (6:30 pm–7:00 am) with rotating weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• BLS certification must be obtained within 45 days.
• Nurse Aide in good standing as per state registry.
• GED, HSED, or high school diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care including bathing, feeding and ambulation.
• Record and document vitals, intake/output, and weights in EMR.
• Perform purposeful rounding and communicate observations to RN.
• Assist with admission, transfer and discharge processes under supervision.
• Collect specimens and perform point-of-care testing as indicated.
• Maintain stock for nursing area and clean equipment.
