Job summary

Alden Courts and Gardens of Des Plaines is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the 11 pm–7 am shift. This is a full- or part-time role with every other weekend required, providing care to residents in a skilled nursing setting.

You will assist residents with daily living activities, follow care plans, and report changes to nursing staff while maintaining a warm, safe environment and ensuring documentation is accurate.

Qualifications

• CPR certification required or obtained within two weeks of employment.
• Ability to read, write and speak English clearly.
• Demonstrates interest in caring for the ill, disabled, and elderly.

Responsibilities

• Provide residents with daily nursing care according to standards and facility policies.
• Assist with activities of daily living and care plan as directed by nursing staff.
• Observe residents and report changes to the Nurse/RCC.
• Maintain a warm, safe, and supportive environment throughout the department.
• Record intake/output and monitor vital signs as needed.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharge procedures.
