Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the Rehabilitation Unit in Park Ridge, IL. This full-time position is 36 hours per week with a 7:00 pm to 7:30 am schedule and every-other-weekend shifts.

You will assist with daily patient care under RN supervision, document vitals in the EMR, and support admissions, transfers and discharges. Required are BLS and Nurse Aide certification, plus a GED/HSED or high school diploma.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 45 days is required.
• Nurse Aide in good standing with State Registry.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily patient care (bathing, feeding, ambulation) under RN supervision.
• Measure and document vital signs and intake/output in EMR.
• Perform rounding and communicate observations to RN.
• Assist with admissions, transfers and discharges as directed.
• Collect specimens and support nursing staff with lab tasks as needed.
• Maintain stock and cleanliness of nursing area; transport supplies.
• Position and move patients safely; support dietary needs and skin care.
• Follow infection control policies and use PPE appropriately.
