Job summary

The Nursing Assistant (NA) at Good Samaritan Society provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance in a long-term care setting during the 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM shift. Under RN supervision, you will help with activities of daily living, vital signs, and care plan adherence, contributing to a compassionate, Christian environment.

Applicants must be CNAs with state certification or in-process, and meet ongoing education requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16.
• CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing, or in process of obtaining certification.
• CNA training and certification provided by facility.
• A minimum of 12 hours continuing education annually.
• May be classified as Sanford Category II Driver where applicable.
• Medically qualified to perform essential driving functions per Sanford Driving Policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care under RN supervision.
• Assist with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing and meals.
• Record vital signs and maintain care documentation.
• Assist with transfers, repositioning and range of motion exercises.
• Support wellness and recreational activities; maintain infection prevention policies.
