Job summary

Good Samaritan is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) to provide compassionate, resident-centered care in a long-term care setting. You will work a night shift with the nursing team to deliver basic nursing care and daily living assistance aligned with each resident's care plan.

You will assist with bathing, grooming, meals, vital signs, and safe transfers, while documenting interactions and reporting changes to the charge RN. Participation in wellness activities and committee work may be required.

Qualifications

• CNA certification required or in process within four months.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum age 16; prior CNA experience in long-term care preferred.
• Annual competency testing and at least 12 hours CE per year.
• If required in state, registered with CNA registry and valid driver’s license may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Assist with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing and meals.
• Record vital signs and monitor resident condition as per care plan.
• Assist with transfers and range-of-motion exercises.
• Document resident interactions and informRN of changes.
• Support wellness and recreational activities and participate in committees as needed.
