Job summary

The Nursing Assistant (NA) at Good Samaritan Society provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance in a long-term care setting under RN supervision. This role supports basic health needs, documentation, and infection control per care plans, while assisting with transfers and mobility, and participating in wellness activities.

Must hold CNA certification and high school diploma/GED; continuous education is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• CNA certification with state board and certification process completed within four months or ongoing.
• Annual continuing education minimum 12 hours and maintain certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care during scheduled shifts.
• Assist with activities of daily living: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Record vital signs and communicate changes to the charge RN.
• Assist with meals and dining to ensure a positive dining experience.
• Follow infection prevention, PPE usage, and care plan guidelines.
