Job summary

Cedarhurst Senior Living is hiring a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) for the 11:00 pm–7:00 am shift to administer medications and provide direct resident care under the Director of Nursing.

You will support activities of daily living, document care, monitor condition changes, and assist with insulin if certified, while following individualized care plans to promote safety and independence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current and active state-approved medication aide/technician certification required.
• Insulin certification preferred.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care including medication distribution per individualized plan.
• Observe residents and report condition changes to physicians and supervisors.
• Document observations, incidents, interventions, and medication administration in MAR and nursing records.
• Communicate with supervisors and next shift to ensure continuity of care.
• Check vital signs, weight, and glucose monitoring as assigned.
• Administer and document medications following the five rights (medication, route, resident, time, dose).
• Assist residents with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Support nutrition and hydration needs and restorative nursing techniques.
• Promote safety, independence, and engagement in activities.
