Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living is seeking a compassionate Certified Medication Technician (CMA) to join our team. The CMA delivers resident care in a warm, home-like setting, ensuring medication administration is carried out accurately and safely.

Night shift runs from 11pm to 7am, with emphasis on resident well-being and timely communications with the RCD. The role requires a state Medication Technician License, CPR certification (or within six months), and quarterly competency reviews under RN/RCD

Qualifications

• Must hold state Medication Technician License and demonstrate competency per state protocol.
• Complete quarterly competency review under RN/RCD supervision.
• CPR certification required or obtainable within six months.
• Must complete state-approved drug administration training and certificate.
• Competency evaluated by RCD each quarter.
• Current CNA certification or completion of CHHA/home maker training program.
• High School education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicates questions, concerns, and/or discrepancies related to medication administration to the Resident Care Director (RCD).
• Communicates any significant change of mental or physical status of resident to RCD.
• Documents supervision of self-administration in MAR.
• Documents/ notifies RCD of administration of PRN meds.
• Responsible for documentation on PRN meds and affect.
• Recognizes and can assist in the prevention of elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
