Job summary

Cedarhurst Living is hiring an Overnight Certified Medication Technician (CMT) to administer medications and provide direct resident care under the supervision of the Director of Nursing. The role supports daily living activities, safety, and individualized care plans to promote resident independence and well-being.

The CMT will document care, monitor vitals, and communicate changes to the care team, families, and physicians, ensuring accuracy and compliance with five rights and MAR processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current state-approved medication aide/technician certification required.
• Insulin certification preferred.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.
• Basic computer skills (MS Word/Excel) encouraged.
• Overnight shift availability required.

Responsibilities

• Administer and document medications per the five rights.
• Observe residents and report changes to physicians and supervisors.
• Document observations and care in MAR and nursing records.
• Pass information to the next shift and supervise Resident Assistants.
• Assist with activities of daily living and meals.
• Support safety, fall prevention and infection control.
• Assist in transfers, ambulation and positioning.
• Participate in staff meetings and training as needed.
