Job summary

Cedarhurst Senior Living is seeking a Certified Medication Aid (CMA) to administer meds and provide direct resident care under the Director of Nursing. You will support activities of daily living, promote safety, and document care and medication delivery to help residents maintain independence.

The CMA works within individualized care plans, communicates with physicians and families, and participates in ongoing training to ensure high-quality resident outcomes and compliance with facility

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current and active state-approved medication aide certification required.
• Insulin certification preferred.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care services including medicine distribution to residents while following an individualized plan of care for all residents.
• Observe residents and communicate condition changes to physicians, health care proxies, and supervisors and provide timely interventions.
• Document all pertinent observations, red flags, incidents, interventions, communication, and daily MAR documentation.
• Pass information to the next shift and ensure timely documentation by Resident Assistants to maintain quality care.
• Check and record vital signs, weights, and blood sugars as assigned.
• Administer and document medications following the five rights.
