Job summary

Cedarhurst Living is seeking a Certified Medication Aide for the 11:00pm–7:00am shift in Canton, GA. The CMA will administer medications, support activities of daily living, and document care per care plans, ensuring safety and resident independence where possible.

Responsibilities include vital signs, incident reporting, and collaboration with nurses, physicians, families, and supervisors. Requires CMA certification and HSD or equivalent; CPR/BLS preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current state CMA certification required.
• Insulin certification preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification preferred.
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Word/Excel.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care including medicine distribution per individualized plan.
• Observe residents and report condition changes to physicians and supervisors.
• Document observations, incidents, and medication administration in MAR and records.
• Pass information to the next shift and ensure timely documentation.
• Check and record vital signs, weights, and glucose monitoring as assigned.
• Administer and document medications following five rights and schedules.
• Assist with activities of daily living as needed and support nutrition/hydration.
• Participate in training, mentorship, and quality improvement activities.
