Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• High school diploma or GED required; higher-level degree may satisfy this requirement.

Responsibilities

• Assists physicians and other health care providers with routine examinations and procedures, and procurement of equipment and supplies.
• Critically reviews patient care documentation and reports changes to a nurse or physician.
• Performs clerical tasks including workload organization, greeting visitors, researching information, and transcribing orders.
