Job summary

UNC Health is hiring a Nursing Assistant I for the 3 West unit of the Acute Care Cardiology and Nephrology area in Chapel Hill, NC. The role requires providing routine patient care under RN/physician supervision and supporting patient families throughout admission, care, and discharge.

Qualification includes Nursing Assistant I certification in NC and BLS; six months of CNA experience preferred. The position offers a 36-hour weekly schedule with 12-hour night shifts and weekend rotation, onsite

Qualifications

Fluent in verbal and written English language and able to develop basic computer skills.
Nursing Assistant I certification required in NC; BLS certification required.
Prefer six months of nursing assistant experience.

Responsibilities

Provide routine direct and indirect patient care under supervision of a registered nurse or physician.
Assist with examinations, procedures, and emergency equipment procurement.
Monitor patient condition and report changes to nurse/physician.
Assist with admission, orientation, and discharge of patients.
Support daily living activities and maintain cleanliness of patient area.
Reinforce patient education and distribute educational materials.
