Job summary

UNC Health Care's Heart and Vascular Progressive Care Unit in Chapel Hill is seeking a Clinical Support Tech I (Nights) to join the team on a full-time basis. The role supports professional caregivers, transports patients and equipment, and maintains patient rooms and unit operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; higher-level degree may satisfy.
• Listed as Nursing Assistant I by the North Carolina DHHS.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Prior experience not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and other health care providers with routine examinations and procurement of equipment and supplies.
• Critically review patient care documentation and report significant changes to a nurse or physician.
• Provide clerical tasks including organizing workload, greeting visitors, reviewing and revising orders, answering calls, and maintaining medical records; perform QA audits and data entry.
