Job summary

Qualifications

• Fluent English required for communication with patients, families, and team members.
• Basic computer skills to document and access electronic health records.
• High school diploma or GED required; higher-level degree may satisfy the requirement.

Responsibilities

• Assists physicians and health care providers with routine examinations and procedures, and procurement of equipment and supplies.
• Review patient care documentation and report significant changes to a nurse or physician.
• Perform clerical tasks: organize workload, greet visitors, transcribe orders, maintain medical records, and assist with PI audits and data entry.
• Provide clinical support: clean work areas, troubleshoot devices, restock supplies, transport patients and materials, and assist in orientation of new staff and students.
• Give direct personal care per plan of care (bathing, dressing, feeding, ambulation assistance) and document vitals and measurements.
• Reinforce patient teaching and distribute educational materials as requested.
