Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for The Jewish Hospital to support operative procedures by passing instruments, maintaining aseptic technique, and ensuring sterile supplies are ready. The role requires an Associate's Degree or equivalent surgical technology certification and a CST/NBSTA/TS-C credential as applicable.

The position is a full-time night shift with responsibilities across pre- and post-procedure tasks, room preparation and instrument management.

Qualifications

• Education required: Associates Degree, Vocational Certification, or Military Certificate in Surgical Technology.
• Licensure: CST/TS-C/NCCT or NBSTA certification options may apply as required for the role.
• Experience: One year of perioperative, operating room, or related military surgical technology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides instruments and supplies to the surgical team during procedures and maintains aseptic technique.
• Prepares, maintains, and organizes sterile supplies and instruments for procedures.
• Assists with pre- and post-procedure cleaning of the operative room and instruments.
• Prepares and performs surgical skin prep and clipping as indicated by procedure.
• Supports complete case preparation and adapts instruments and supplies as needed.
