Job summary

Mercy Health in Cincinnati is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to join the Inpatient Surgery team at The Jewish Hospital. You will provide instruments and supplies, simulate aseptic technique, and support the surgical team throughout operative procedures.

Education requires an Associate's Degree or Vocational certification in Surgical Technology; applicable certifications CST/NCCT/TS-C and BLS preferred. One year of perioperative experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or Vocational Certification in Surgical Technology required.
• Certification: CST, NBSTA or TS-C; NCCT required.
• One year of perioperative experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides instruments and supplies to the surgical team during procedures and maintains aseptic technique.
• Prepares, maintains, and organizes sterile supplies and instruments for procedures.
• Assists with pre and post procedure cleaning of the operative room and instruments.
• Performs surgical skin prep and clipping as indicated by procedure.
