Job summary

Mercy Hospital is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to join the Labor & Birth team for night shifts. This full-time role covers 36 hours per week and supports patient care, surgical procedures, and unit operations in a fast-paced obstetrics setting.

Responsibilities include assisting with perioperative tasks, record maintenance, supply management, and collaboration with nursing and medical staff. Requirements: CST certification, BLS, and a High School diploma or GED; English proficiency

Qualifications

• High-School Diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of a Surgical Technologist program per NBSTSA is required.
• Maintain CST certification without gaps.
• Must understand English written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care support for OB patients under Nursing/Medical Staff supervision.
• Assist in surgical procedures and non-clinical support tasks.
• Maintain patient records, bed control, turnover, and charge capture.
• Support nursing team and patients with ADLs for newborns and postpartum patients.
