Job summary

Banner University Medical Center is seeking a Certified Patient Care Assistant to join the Float Pool Unit. You will float to multiple units including ICU and other specialty areas, assisting with basic patient care and documentation under supervision.

The ideal candidate holds a CNA/LNA license, recent acute care experience, and is comfortable in a fast-paced environment. Night shift with on-site work at Banner University Medical Center in Phoenix.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Current CNA/LNA license in the state of practice is required for new hires and transfers.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine patient care to promote comfort and support the care plan.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Document patient data and progress in the electronic medical record.
• Float to multiple units across Banner University Medical Center as needed.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges and general unit operations.
