Job summary

Oxford Properties in New York is seeking a licensed Building Engineer to operate and maintain building systems, perform preventive maintenance, and support energy efficiency initiatives. This fixed full-time role runs Monday through Friday from 4:00 pm to 12:00 am, with collaboration across property management, accounting, HR, and engineering teams.

Candidates must hold a NYC Refrigeration Engineer License and EPA Section 608 Universal certification for refrigerants; Journeyman/Master

Qualifications

Valid EPA Section 608 Universal certification for refrigerants.
NYC Refrigeration Engineer License required.
Journeyman or Master Electrician licenses a plus.
May require government clearance.
Basic computer skills: Outlook, Excel, Word; CMMS familiarity.
Experience with HVAC, pumps, refrigerant systems.
Knowledge of energy management systems.
Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations and maintenance of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
Perform preventive and unscheduled maintenance tasks.
Replace filters, lubricate motors, change lamps and bearings.
Identify energy-saving opportunities while maintaining customer satisfaction.
Respond promptly to emergencies and customer concerns.
Follow codes, regulations and safety practices.
Complete Oxford Properties safety training and dress code.
Collaborate with property management and staff.
