Job summary

OMERS / Oxford Properties Group is seeking a Building Engineer in New York, NY. Qualifications

• Applicants must have a valid Universal level certification for CFC/HFC refrigerants (EPA Section 608).
• A valid NYC Refrigeration Engineer License is required.
• License/permit for trade (Journeyman/Master Electrician, etc.) is a plus.
• Basic computer skills in Outlook, Excel & Word; knowledge of CMMS software.
• Experience operating, maintaining and repairing HVAC, heaters, pumps, refrigerant systems, compressors, and water systems.
• Knowledge of energy management systems and energy-saving techniques.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain building systems including mechanical, electrical and plumbing components.
• Perform assigned maintenance tasks and projects.
• Conduct preventive maintenance: replace filters, lubricate motors, replace lamps/ballasts, inspect belts and bearings.
• Strive to improve energy efficiency while maintaining customer satisfaction.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and customer concerns.
• Comply with codes, regulations and safety training; complete annual safety courses.
• May work extended shifts or on-call and follow dress code.
