Job summary

The Durst Organization is seeking an Engineer for a long-standing property in Long Island City, NY. The role covers operations, maintenance, and safety for campus-style buildings, with a shift from Tuesday to Saturday, 3pm-11pm.

Expect to manage chillers, boilers, and HVAC systems while ensuring efficient facility performance. Ideal candidates will hold NY Refrigeration Operator license and multiple safety certifications, plus several years on high-rise or campus sites.

Qualifications

• Valid New York City Fire Department Refrigeration Machine Operator License with a minimum of one year's continuous experience.
• Minimum 3+ years as operating engineer in high-rise building or campus site.
• Fire Safety Director Certification, Sprinkler/Standpipe Certification, EPA Universal Certification.

Responsibilities

• Start up, regulate, repair and shut down equipment (Multistack chillers, Areco boilers).
• Monitor meters and controls to ensure safe operation.
• Perform preventive maintenance on MEP systems.
